What is a fire pump engine?

  The installation of a fire pump system in a commercial or industrial property is a common occurrence. Using a fire pump system may allow a property to be developed where sufficient water pressure is not available 1. Principle of operation Diesel engines require a fuel injection pump that delivers clean fuel to the engine, usually under gravity pressure. The fuel supply tank should be positioned so that the supply line connection to the engine is no lower than the height of the engine fuel delivery pump. The engine manufacturer's fuel pump hydrostatic head pressure limit must not be exceeded when the fuel in the tank is at its maximum.   2.
